Realblog

Hi! I'd like to introduce you to our family. (Bare with me if you already know us - lol) You'll get to 'meet' us through the descriptions and photos here in our family album. My name is Renee and this is my first attempt at building a family webpage. I'm sure it's going to be under construction for a while. I'm not a pro at this stuff but I'm sure having fun doing it. :)

Just the beginning ...

My husband and I began our life together as a real life version of the Brady Bunch! When we met, we each had 3 children. Phil had 2 sons and a daughter and I had 1 son and 2 daughters - 3 boys and 3 girls! We decided we wanted to add our own little person to the family and soon we learned we were expecting.. We went together for my first ultrasound and discovered we were going to be the parents of twins! On June 26th, 1999 our beautiful twin sons, Devlin & Dylan were born.

**Our Disney Vacation**
6/26/03-7/7/03

Our family went on a 12 day vacation to sunny Orlando, Florida in the summer of 2003. We stayed in Kissimee, Florida in a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home called "Ariel's Oasis". The house was fantastic and I'll warn you in advance that I've included way too many photos of it here on this site. While we were there we spent 4 fantastic days in Disney World visiting all of Disney's parks. We also spent two days in Clearwater at Clearwater Beach soaking up the sun and hitting the waves. We went for a cruise aboard Captain Memo's Pirate Ship. If your ever in Clearwater, our family would highly recommend cruising with Captain Memo and his crazy crew. We had SO much fun! The crew members know how to entertain each and every age group. The price is very reasonable, too. Go to http://www.captainmemo.com/ and check it out for yourself. We also jet skied on the gulf and took a ride on the worlds largest speed boat, the "Sea Screamer". We visited Downtown Disney, spent a day at Blizzard Beach water park and went to SeaWorld for a day. No one wanted to get on the plane when it was time to leave! You'll find a lot of vacation photos on this site. It's the easiest way I could think of to share our experience with family and friends that we don't see often. Please don't forget to sign our guestbook before you leave - or better yet, send us an e-mail. Thanx for visiting!

My first paint shop graphic!

The little teddy bear sign you see above was my first attempt to putz around with paint shop. I'm a little behind technologically because I know there are much better programs out there but I'm clueless how to use them. If anyone would care to take the time to teach me or can recommend a good one, e-mail me! I'd love to learn. The next paragraph has a clickable link to the website where I found that teddy bear graphic as well as many others.

You can find little teddy bears and many other graphics at
www.cutecolors.com.
Click the 3 little bears below to go directly to the website.

If you like cute graphics, you'll love this site. I liked it so much I became a member.

Our Guestbook

I've put a link to our guestbook here. We'd love it if you would sign it before you leave. Just click the little teddy bear link below to be taken to the book. You can also send us an e-mail by clicking "send an e-mail" below. Put the first name of the family member you would like the e-mail to go to in the subject line so the correct person receives it. We hope to hear from you!

Future Plans

Our youngest daughter, Ashlee, will be heading off to college soon. This is her last year of high school! (I'm getting old!) She will study to be a vet, with her ultimate goal to work with the wild animals at the zoo.

Our Wedding Day

Phillip and I got married on August 12th, 2000. Our wedding was small but beautiful with just our family and closest friends there. We had a Hawaiian theme for our wedding. Everyone who attended was given a Hawaiian lei before the ceremony and Phil and I wore traditional Hawaiian colors. We even invited our guests to wear Hawaiian outfits - nothing fancy but something comfortable. Who wants to wear pantyhose or a suit and tie when it's 83 degrees outside? At the end of the ceremony we released 37 purple and green balloons (our special colors and number). Attached to the string of each balloon was a tiny scroll with our names and our wedding date along with our e-mail address requesting that anyone who found one please write us to let us know where it was found. Our invitations were also scrolled and mailed inside of clear bottles. They were really unique and beautiful. We put irridescent shimmery streamers into the bottles and sprinkled in some tropical confetti. We had so much fun making them ourselves. We celebrated our special day by having a Hawaiian luau at our home after the ceremony. We decorated everything in a Hawaiian theme including our yard, where we lit tiki torches and had a cook out. The weather was absolutely perfect and everyone had a wonderful time. You'll be able to take a peek at some of the photos we took while we were on our belated honeymoon to St. Petersburg, Florida here in our family book. We created our first e-mail together while we were planning our wedding so click below if you'd like to mail us. We'd be happy to share any information about some of the other things we did to make our wedding day special.
